Cards Preview: Louisville vs Georgetown tue. 7pm est

Well its very simply at this point in the season for our Cards.  They play well and win at least 2 of their final 4 games to move into the post season or play their way out of the NCAA tournament.  One thing is for sure, if the Cards beat Georgetown at Freedom Hall on Tuesday night they will most likely get a spot in the big tourney.  Another important goal for the Cards is trying to get in the top 4 of the Big East regular season standings which would give them a 2 round bye in the Big East tournament at MSG.  Even with our troubles through this season this is a goal that is not out of reach considering we sit in 5th place as of now with 4 games left.  However first things first and we need to focus everything we have on our match-up with the Hoyas this Tuesday.  The one thing we must do to put ourselves in a position to win is containing Georgetown's experienced big man, Greg Monroe.  Don't get me wrong the Hoyas have a lot of great players but the numbers don't lie.  If Monroe plays well they win, if he doesn't they lose.  Our players should come out swinging in this game since this will be the second to last game ever to be played in our beloved Freedom Hall, very sad.  In this game we must win the battle inside as well as rebound well.  I feel like if we can win the rebounding battle against them, we will have a great shot to win!  Our seniors need to step up as their final season as a Cardinal comes to an end! GO CARDS!!!

  1. The Cards placed themselves in the position where every game decides our tournament hopes. With UConn beating UWV the other night it means they are back in the mix for a tournament spot. We can take care of that with a big win at Freedom Hall. We must win at home in the last two games at Freedom Hall.
